Meet Dan Argentieri
Dan Argentieri is a busy guy. He spends his days juggling two major positions within Fairfield Harbour. He is the General Manager of Harbour Pointe Golf Club (HPGC) and the Billy Casper Account Manager for Fairfield Harbour Property Owners Association (FHPOA). As the General Manager of HPG, he manages the day-to-day operation of the golf course. While donning his other hat – Billy Casper Account Manager for FHPOA – Dan oversees the financial and directional aspects of Fairfield Harbour in conjunction with advancing the vision of the FHPOA board of directors.
Originally from Hornell, NY, Dan’s grandfather put a plastic golf club in his crib when he was a baby and Dan never let it go. He graduated from Clemson University with a double major; one in degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism with a concentration in Golf Course Management and another in business management.
While at Clemson, Dan made a valuable connection and lifelong friendship with Michael Cooper. Cooper was General Manager of HPGC in 2013. Dan followed in August of 2014 as assistant golf pro. In October 2014, Cooper was promoted to Billy Casper Corporate and Dan was promoted to General Manger. At HPGC, Dan now runs the day-to-day operations of food and beverage/carts/golf range as well as being the golf pro.
In March 2017, Billy Casper was hired as the 3rd party to manage the daily operations of Fairfield Harbour and Dan was their man! Dan responsibilities expanded significantly. Helping manage a Homeowner Association was a new venture for Billy Casper and Dan implemented the perfect formula. His goal is to provide stellar customer service and deliver responsible expense management.
Under Dan’s tenure, HPGC has made the following improvements:
Leased new golf carts and course grooming equipment. The equipment is leased through Billy Caper allowing for substantial savings.
Over 200 trees were removed from the golf course. Two acres of sod are planned for the 2018-2019 season.
A 2000 square foot expansion of HPGC house starts spring of 2018. The expansion will allow for additional event space for Fairfield Harbour to use and enjoy.
As busy as Dan is, he accepted the role of the chairman of the Cooperative Business Council of Fairfield Harbour (CBC), the community’s mini chamber of commerce. Dan believes his role as chairman has given him additional insight into small business needs of the community.
Dan Argentieri, golf pro and CBC chairman, organizes the annual CBC golf tournament. Last year CBC donated $500 to the Food Bank of Eastern and Central NC.
Recently married, Dan and his bride, Alyssa, put down roots in Fairfield and bought a home. Alyssa is a 2nd grade teacher at Bangert Elementary School. Dan and Alyssa are both Clemson graduates and huge fans. They enjoy watching or going to the games. The compatible couple enjoys golfing, hiking, running and spending time with Rory, their Soft Coated Wheaton Terrier.
Dan’s five year vision is to make HPGC the best golf course in the area. His vision for Fairfield Harbour is to restore the community to its former glory as the premier boating and golfing community in North Carolina.
How can a busy guy like Dan, keep all the balls in the air? He credits his talented management team and believes people are your greatest resource. Dan also understands that balance is the key to a happy and healthy life. He allows time to enjoy life. When asked what he likes best about Fairfield Harbour, Dan quickly acknowledges, “It’s the people. So many of the people in Fairfield Harbour are the good neighbor that will do anything for you”.
