Rich in history and charm
Beaufort is located in North Carolina's "Inner Banks" region. The Beaufort Inlet, a channel leading south to the Atlantic Ocean, is a wide, clearly marked channel allowing for deep sea fishing and sailboat to traverse the waters. Founded in 1722, Beaufort was once home to the notorious pirates, Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet.
