Wayne Strausbaugh, Fairfield Harbour resident and POA board member, lived out another bucket list adventure this summer in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. After flying into Moscow, he went to Sokol Airbase in northern Russia where the MIG factory is located. There he was able to fly in a front-line Russian fighter – the well-known and highly maneuverable MIG-29. The MIG 29 is a very impressive Mach 2 aircraft with turning capabilities that meet or exceed our F-15 and F-16. Wayne and the MIG pilot climbed to 54,500 feet at Mach 1.7.
