Open water racing on the Neuse and Trent Rivers at The Colonial. Choose from the distance course or the technical course in different classes.

Experience the thrill of open water racing while the crowds cheer you to victory in this paddler and spectator-friendly event on the Neuse River and the Trent River in the historic Colonial Capital of New Bern, North Carolina.
There will be 2 races this year. You can participate in one or participate in both for the Combined Championship.
DISTANCE COURSE: 4-mile Triangle-Shaped course with Buoy Turns. Regatta start for all paddlers.
TECHNICAL COURSE: Bow-tie shaped course with buoy turns. Heat Format. Open Board Class.
AWARDS:
Distance Course: Top 3 Finishers per Board Class, Gender & Juniors (U17)
Technical Course: Top 3 Finishers per Gender & Juniors (U17)
Combined Champion: Top Male/Female/Junior with the highest placing in both Courses
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) Required – On body or on board
Leash Required – NEW WPA RULE
