Fairfield Harbour Cruisers enjoy Ocrafolk Festival
There is safety in numbers when cruising the open waters to Ocracoke Island and the more the merrier! Members of Fairfield Harbour Yacht Club and Blackbeard Sailing Club cruised to the popular Outer Banks Island for the Ocrafolk Festival June 2-4. The island is only accessible by boat, ferry or plane so getting there is half the fun.
The 18th annual festival offers a weekend of great music, storytelling, artists, and crafts in the heart of Ocracoke Village. Ocracoke’s thirteen miles of unspoiled, pristine beaches are perfect for swimming, surfing, or just relaxing in the sun.
Boaters stayed at the federal docks and other marinas. The overflow of boats anchored out in Silver Lake and dingyed in for the fun. Folks who came by ferry stayed at delightful bed and breakfasts or motels.
