On Saturday, April 8, 2017, the Cooperative Business Council of Fairfield Harbour (CBC) in conjunction with Harbour Pointe Golf Club sponsored the 2nd annual CBC Golf Tournament to benefit the New Bern Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Thanks to strong community support, CBC was able to raise $500 from the event.

Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for over 35 years. For every dollar donated the Food Bank is able to deliver five meals. In the central and eastern North Carolina area 637,000 individuals are unable to consistently access enough nutritious food to live a healthy, active life, or go hungry because they had to skip meals. CBC is delighted help feed hungry families in our service area. For more information on the Food Bank visit www.foodbankcenc.org.
