Community involvement matters in Fairfield Harbour

Participating in some of our many social groups and clubs including Yacht Club, Ladies/Mens Golf Associations, Garden Club or Marathon Bridge adds fulfillment to every day. Part of retirement is about engaging with others who share this same stage of life. These involvements help build meaningful relationships that can last many, many years.

In Fairfield Harbour you can also join a committee whose role is defined by the governing Board of Directors. These committees may consist of Roads & Streets, Property Control, New Neighbors or Engineering Assistance. Interest and/or expertise in an area that falls within the scope of the committee is the only requirement for participation.

Our community also has 30 miles of lightly traveled roads and miles of paths in our open space areas offering an opportunity for jogging, bicycling or walking. Often you can run into familiar faces and stop to share a bit of conversation or you may offer the “Fairfield wave” to a passing car.

Even if your retirement idea is only for sharing a glass of wine at the end of the day, it’s important to be by others with the same interest. Regardless of activity level, involvement with others helps to fill your days with meaningful events.

Fairfield Harbour in New Bern, NC offers involvement in many local activities including volunteerism and community support.
